OpenByline is now the intended public working identity. The previous temporary By Blank identity is frozen and deprecated because of unacceptable conflict risk. byblank.ai remains the public home of OpenByline; historical records are preserved rather than cosmetically rewritten.
The rebuilt desk supports natural creator intake, project orientation, artifact review, evidence inspection, append-only events, and deterministic receipts. Public and tester access remain closed while dedicated multi-user isolation is completed.
Connected source, intervention, assessment, and evidence records are present. The subsystem fixes records for review; it does not certify copyright or ownership.
The temporary By Blank identity publicly stated the product rule that agents may perform production work but are not authors. It was superseded by OpenByline on 4 August 2026 after a material branding conflict surfaced.
