Privacy Notice
This notice covers the public website at byblank.ai, which presents OpenByline. The owner-only application at app.byblank.ai is a separate service boundary.
What this site collects
The public site collects information you deliberately submit through the Alpha application or Support forms. Alpha applications may include your name, email, creative role, project format and stage, broad project-complexity information, assistance preferences, authorship concerns, operating system, and testing availability. Support requests include contact information, topic, and your message.
What not to submit
Do not submit manuscripts, artwork, API keys, passwords, confidential collaborator information, or rights-sensitive source material through public forms. The public site does not provide governed project intake.
Why the information is used
Information is used to review Alpha interest, coordinate testing, answer support and privacy requests, investigate rights or attribution concerns, resolve identity or domain confusion, and protect the service. A form submission is not treated as verified identity or proof of authorship.
Service providers
Netlify hosts the public site and processes its forms. Squarespace remains the domain registrar and authoritative DNS provider. The owner-only application is hosted separately by OpenAI’s site service. These providers may process technical request data and server logs needed to deliver and protect their services.
Analytics and cookies
OpenByline does not currently install advertising pixels, third-party analytics, chat widgets, or behavioral tracking on this public site. Hosting providers may maintain operational logs and essential service data. The Paper/Ink preference is stored locally in your browser and is not sent through the site’s forms.
Retention and disclosure
Applications and requests are kept only while they remain useful for review, coordination, support, legal obligations, dispute handling, or service protection. Information is not sold. It may be disclosed to service providers acting for the site operator, when required by law, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights and service integrity.
Your choices
You may request access, correction, or deletion through the Support form. Some records may need to be retained for security, legal compliance, or dispute documentation.
Changes
This is a working Alpha notice. Material changes will be dated on this page. Continued use after a change does not replace any consent that applicable law requires.
